Shetland Wool Throws

The Shetland is one of the smallest native British sheep, an adaptable and long lived animal renowned for being hard, thrifty, easy lambing and good mothers. Originating from the Shetland Isles their wool has historically been a much valued commodity.

Naturally produced in numerous natural shades it is a very fine wool and commonly used for Fair Isle knitwear and traditional knitted lace shawls, so fine they pass through a wedding ring. The coarser Shetland Wool is used to produce tweed.

Our Shetland Wool Throws are beautifully soft and warm a rustic collection inspired by the colours of nature and uncomplicated traditional designs.
